The Massachusetts Association of Electrologists, Inc. (MAE) has been serving both the public and the electrology profession since 1950. Founded by dedicated electrologists committed to advancing their craft, our organization was built on the principles of education, safety, ethics, and excellence in client care.
Our mission is simple but powerful:
We offer a welcoming community for both clients seeking permanent hair removal and professionals dedicated to refining their skills. MAE provides:
MAE is proudly affiliated with the American Electrology Association, Inc. (AEA) — the largest international electrology membership organization. Through this partnership, our members gain access to national-level resources, research, and continuing education opportunities.
Many of our members have taken the extra step of earning the Certified Professional Electrologist (CPE) designation by passing a rigorous voluntary examination. CPEs commit to completing 75 hours of approved continuing education every five years, ensuring their skills remain sharp and up-to-date.
Whether you’re here to learn about electrolysis for the first time or you’re an electrologist seeking a professional home, we invite you to explore our site.
